What we collect

When you submit an enquiry through our website, we collect:

•     Your name

•     Your email address

•     Your phone number, if you choose to give it

•     Your project postcode

•     The type of project, its planning stage, and an indicative budget, where selected

•     A description of your project, in your own words

To help prevent spam, we use a short-lived request counter linked to a daily-changing hash of your network address. The counter expires after one hour and is removed when subsequent requests are processed. We do not store the raw network address in enquiry records. Our hosting providers may process technical request information to operate and secure the website. We do not use cookies to track you for advertising purposes.

How we use it

We use the information you give us only to:

•     Contact you about your enquiry

•     Assess whether and how we can help with your project

•     Keep a record of enquiries so we can follow them up

Our legal basis for this is legitimate interest — responding to a request you have made — and, where a project goes ahead, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

How we store it

Enquiry details are saved securely and are only accessible to authorised people within the business who need them to respond to you. Your information is not published on the website, added to a mailing or marketing list, or sold to any third party.

Who we share it with

We use OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare to host this website and store enquiries, and Resend to send enquiry notifications to the business by email. These service providers process information needed to provide those services. We may also share information where required by law or where you have specifically asked us to involve a third party, for example a specialist helping to price your project.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and, if your project goes ahead, for the life of that project plus six years afterwards to meet our legal and accounting obligations. If your enquiry does not lead to a project, we keep it for up to 24 months in case you get back in touch, then delete it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

•     Ask us what personal information we hold about you

•     Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete

•     Ask us to delete your information

•     Ask us to restrict or object to how we use your information

•     Ask for your information to be provided to you in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the email address above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
